A NORTH Yorkshire leisure centre will not face charges following the death of an eight year old boy in a swimming pool.
Kaimen Ward, of Ashlands Road, Northallerton, died after swimming at Hambleton Leisure Centre, Northallerton, in August last year.
He was declared dead at Friarage Hospital after being dragged unconscious from the pool.
North Yorkshire Police said no individuals nor Hambleton District Council would face criminal charges, although the Health and Safety Executive’s investigation is ongoing.
