Heworth residents can join their ward councillors for a swap shop on Monday.
Residents are being urged to bring any unwanted clothing, plants and toys along to the ward meeting at St Wulstan’s Church, in Fossway.
The meeting gets under way at 3.30pm.
Coun Ruth Potter said: “As well as the usual items on the agenda, residents may be able to find themselves a good book and pass on those unwanted items that will free up some space at home.”
The recycling swap shop has been organised as part of the ward’s environmental commitment.
