A TEN per cent pay cut? Why only council executives – there are plenty of others on the gravy train.
Let’s target everyone earning more than £110,000 in public service or a figure to be determined by MPs.
The Prime Minister and the Cabinet did it.
Taking a ten per cent pay cut is really only taking a five per cent cut approximately in take home pay, as they will be paying 50 per cent tax.
Now a 20 per cent pay cut, would be taking a ten per cent cut approximately in take-home pay.
So they should grin and bear the loss of five per cent approximately take-home pay, for if they were to be voted in we would soon see a change in attitude.
It is the tax-payer (a diminishing number in the UK private sector) who pays for their inflated salaries.
