A MURDER victim who died in York after being stabbed in the throat has been named as Mark John Webb.
Mr Webb, 40, died following the stabbing at a house in Stuart Road, Acomb, on Friday.
He managed to make his way to nearby Middleton Road, from where he was rushed by ambulance to York Hospital with a police escort.
An inquest into the death of Mr Webb, who police say lived in Cornlands Road, has yet to be opened.
Parts of Middleton Road remained cornered off today as police enquires continued.
A mobile police van was also stationed on the street to offer reassurance to members of the public.
Four people - two men aged 29 and 34 and two women aged 26 and 30 - remain in police custody today after being arrested in connection with the murder.
