THE final moments of a father-of-five found dead at his home in York were relived at the opening of an inquest.
An inquest in York into the death of Mark John Webb, 40, of Cornlands Road, Acomb, heard how he was found collapsed by a side door to a property in Middleton Road on March 4.
Coroner Donald Coverdale noted Mr Webb had a large cut to his neck and was found bleeding heavily.
Police officers attempted to resuscitate Mr Webb, but he was pronounced dead at York Hospital the same day.
Mr Webb’s provisional cause of death was given as “an incised wound” to the neck. Mr Coverdale opened and adjourned the inquest until after the trial of Brian Cox, 29, who has been charged with the murder of Mr Webb.
