HUNDREDS of Brownies together at the Riley-Smith Hall in Tadcaster at the weekend for a royal wedding party.
About 200 people attended Sunday’s event organised by troop leaders Beverley Wise and Pauline Ducat, and hosted by the Towton District Girl Guides.
Ms Wise said: “The tables were all set out in a wedding-reception style which I think the girls appreciated.
“It was a wonderful event, enjoyed by all. We don’t get many opportunities to all get together, so it was a great day.”
The party was held as part of the Royal Wedding Challenge badge, which many of the youngsters are currently working towards, and included a traditional afternoon tea followed by a disco.
The youngsters present included members from the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers from Tadcaster and the surrounding area.
