THE royal wedding is being broadcast live at a themed event at City Screen in York.
The cinema will show the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton from 10am on Friday, April 29.
Those who watch the wedding will also be treated to a “garden party high tea” picnic box of sandwiches and scones with a choice of drinks for £6, or £5 for Picturehouse Members.
Anyone wanting to make a right royal day of it can also buy a ticket to a special screening of the Oscar-winning film, The King’s Speech, which will be shown at 3.45pm, immediately following the wedding.
This will also include a slice of wedding cake and a glass of bubbly.
Tickets are now available for The King’s Speech event and are priced at £10, with concessions at £9, members £8 and children £5.
Tickets for The King’s Speech will be available online, by phone on 0871 902 5726, and in person, while tickets for the royal wedding event will only be available in person at City Screen or over the phone.
