THIS year’s Ripon Cathedral Beer Festival was the best ever, organisers have said.
The bank holiday Monday event drew more than 1,100 people – who consumed 2,500 pints of beer and 700 pies, sausages and burgers. The event raised more than £11,000 towards the organ appeal, which now needs a further £39,000.
Margaret Hammond, development campaign manager, thanked all the event sponsors and The Very Revered Keith Jukes, The Dean, said: “I am delighted that so many families enjoyed the day.”
