BURGLARS stole £10,000-worth of jewellery from a North Yorkshire home.
Thieves forced a window at a house in Duchy Road, in Harrogate, some time between 6.30pm and 10.45pm, last Friday.
Among the stolen jewellery was a platinum dress ring inset with diamonds and a large emerald, which is valued at about £4,000. A 20th-century rose gold, filed curb chain and pair of gold and platinum diamond inset earrings were also taken Two further distinctive items were missing following the burglary – a rare 1960 Breitling Cosmonaute watch, valued at £2,000, and a set of Peruvian NASCAR cufflinks.
Officers appealed for anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen jewellery to come forward.
Detective Constable Pete Allison, of Harrogate CID, said: “Some of the items are very valuable and distinctive and you may recognise them if you have been offered them for sale.”
