MORE paving stones have been stolen from York.
Thieves struck in Jameson Terrace off Albemarle Road, near Knavesmire, on Wednesday.
It is the latest in a series of such thefts, following similar ones in Holgate and off Fishergate.
City of York Council has asked local residents to phone police if they believe more stone is being stolen.
Martin Horner, the council’s head of civil engineering, said: “Council teams can be easily identified because they will arrive at the site of work in a City of York Council liveried vehicle and will be able to provide proof of identification.”
