AN eye-catching preview night has been held to help raise money for York Hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit.
Fashion label L K Bennett hosted the catwalk show in its Low Petergate store as a warm-up for the fundraising charity and catwalk show in Grays Court, behind Treasurer’s House, on May 21.
The finishing touches to the outfits were provided by bespoke milliner Suzanne Gill.
Dawn Doyle, the manager at LK Bennett, said: “The Special Care Baby Unit is close to my heart because I have four children, but almost lost one of them when I went into premature labour.
“They do amazing work, but it’s scary if you are in that situation to be told you might have to go to Leeds if they have not got enough units available.”
Tickets, for the fashion show priced at £25 per head including wine and canapés, are available from theweddingaffair.co.uk/lkbennettcatwalk and the event starts at 6.45pm and runs until 9.30pm.
