BEN TILLEY was the two-goal star in Bishopthorpe White Rose’s 2-0 conquest of North Duffield in the York FA Under-15s final.
Chances were traded at each end – with Duffield’s Luke Pearse foiled by Bishops goalkeeper Aaron Johnson, whose opposite number Alex Barraclough was equally defiant in keeping out Tilley.
The deadlock was shattered in the second half when Tilley nut-megged the Duffield ’keeper.
After Jamie Barkway spurned a clear opening for the White Rose ranks, Tilley cut in from the left to score his second and clinch the win for which Bob Winspear, vice-president of the York FA, presented the trophy and individual medals.
