THE minuscule Leeman Road coach park next to Memorial Gardens, where coaches call for passengers to alight /join, becomes very busy several times during the day.

There is a restricted period allowed for stopping which is, allegedly, monitored by a camera. If exceeded, a hefty fine is landed up the coach company.

On April 21, at about 4.30pm, a coach arrived with 30 passengers for York returning from a five-day tour.

There was an FTR almost the length of two coaches “not in service” parked in the space. Three coaches were also parked, and latest arrival intruded into the main road until the driver managed to double-park in between cars and the another coaches.

In the meantime, an open-top double-decked local tour bus threaded through the congested area.

Surely this is not the place to park an FTR which has probably become estranged from its alloted route?

Tour buses have been seen parked in this extremely congested area. Somewhere else needs to be found to park these vehicles.
