THE FINAL fundraising event to help the Lord Mayor of York raise £40,000 for her chosen charities – the British Heart Foundation and Our Celebration – will be a beauty party on May 24.
The event, at 6.15pm, is being held in association with Browns of York and Clarins of Paris.
The £10 ticket price will be donated by Browns of York to the charities, and admission includes skincare demonstrations, wine, nibbles, and a ten per cent discount on any Clarins items bought on the night.
Tickets are on sale from the Civic Office at York Guildhall, email civicenquiries@york.gov.uk or phone 01904 551010.
Lord Mayor Coun Sue Galloway, who retires after 32 years on May 26, said: “We are on course to achieve £40,000 and I am proud to say that all this has been achieved with your help and without massive corporate sponsorship.”
