YOUNG musicians held recorded performances to be streamed live on the internet from a mobile studio at Coppergate in York.
The bands were taking part in the Talent Tour competition, through Access To Music, which runs further education courses and a Saturday academy for 11 to 16-year-olds in York.
The young musicians’ videos will now go on YouTube, and people can vote for their favourite at the talenttour.co.uk website.
One of the nine acts will win the York heat of the competition and go on to perform at Access To Music York’s summer gig.
Kate Bowater, tutor from Access To Music York, said: “The young people who came down to do their recording did a really excellent job. There was a lot of interest from passers-by.”
Young people interested in taking part in future events can visit facebook.com/ accesstomusicyork or visit the rehearsal and recording facility at the Jam Factory in The Groves, York, on its open day on Saturday, between 11am and 3pm.
