Two Doncaster Rovers footballers are preparing to cycle across the Yorkshire countryside to raise money for a cancer charity.
James O'Connor and George Friend will be taking part in the Pedal for Pounds South cycling event on August 21.
Defender James said: “Yorkshire Cancer Research is the only cancer charity whose sole aim is to help Yorkshire people beat cancer. The 200-plus Yorkshire scientists and clinicians the charity funds in Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield and York are among the world leaders in the fight against cancer so George and I have been only too glad to help Yorkshire Cancer Research raise the profile of their Pedal for Pounds South event.”
