The Archbishop of York Youth Trust has appointed Dan Finn as the new coordinator of the Young Leaders Award programme for schools.
The Young Leaders Award is a unique approach to work with young people combining classroom based learning with social action and is becoming very popular throughout the North of England.
Dan joins The Archbishop of York Youth Trust with a strong background in education and schools work and has been the executive officer of the York based Yo-Yo Schools Trust for the past three years.
The Archbishop, Dr John Sentamu, said: “I’m very pleased that Dan is coming to join the Youth Trust at this exciting time.
“The Young Leaders Award is an outstanding initiative and gives schools everywhere the chance to make an even greater impact on their communities through service and showing compassion.
“I hope that this appointment will help inspire many individuals to get further involved with the work of the Archbishop of York Youth Trust, assisting young people to be the change they want to see in their communities.”
