PEDESTRIANS are constantly in danger of being run over by cyclists riding on the footpaths of York.
They think that they have a right to speed along the pavements, despite the fact that folk might be strolling along or walking out of their garden gate.
This is exactly what happened last Monday: a cyclist brushed passed me as I walked along to Alex Lyon House, not even any indication that he was behind me.
The road is the place for cyclists, not the pavement.
