A NEW report from the National Institute for Economic and Social Research suggests that immigration from Eastern Europe has added less than £1 billion each year since 2004 to the gross domestic product of the UK – that is only 0.38 per cent.
Think of all the jobs lost by indigenous workers, the impact on schools, housing, benefits claimed by non-working immigrants, and infrastructure.
This ‘experiment’ in immigration was nurtured by a handful of Labour Party figureheads without even consulting the people they were supposed to help and serve; was it really worth it?
