Chris Riley returned to winning ways in the Sunday angling match at Langwith Lakes with a solid net of 108lb 8oz.
Riley took carp to 3lb on pellet to the island, alternating with meat at fished close to the near bank at peg three on Kevin’s Lake.
Second was Darren Wallis at peg one on Bethany’s Lake, where he stuck with pellet to the island all day to end the day with 94lb 10oz to his credit.
Tollerton Ponds continues to host popular open matches with anglers travelling from across the area.
The Monday open saw Keith Kotchie take top spot from peg three on Kingfisher. Alternating pellet and corn, he netted carp to 6lb in a winning haul of 71lb 4oz.
Commercial ace Graham Twohey continued his amazing recent run of form from peg six on the same pond.
Offering pellet tight to the lilly pads, he managed to extract 57lb 8oz of carp from their snaggy lair. His luck did partially evade him as a further 17 carp managed to find their way to freedom, robbing him of yet another win.

The Saturday open on Coot went to Gary Moore from peg 35 with a 54lb 12oz net of pellet tempted carp.
Graham Hope took second from peg 22 with 48lb 12oz, again with pellet.

Round eight of the Bob-Co Spring League at Carpvale saw pegs on the Match Lake dominate as Oliver Hewitt led from peg 39. Offering waggler on the pellet, he took 28 carp for 57lb 8oz.
Mick Hare took second spot from peg 36 on the same lake, where he tempted 22 fish on pole and corn for his 53lb 2oz.
Stuart Wilson completed the top three from peg 21, where he cast a pellet feeder tight to the aerator for his 52lb 8oz net.

Carpvale supremo Kevin Whincup has returned from a fishing holiday to the Florida Keys with son, Chris. Kevin started the adventure with a 50lb Amberjack taken on the Atlantic side of the keys.
Later in the week the pair ventured 28-miles west of Marathon to hit the shallow water of the Gulf of Mexico. Fishing with an 80lb test rod, 80lb braided mainline and a 150lb leader, Kevin hooked a 7ft-long Goliath Grouper, which was estimated at about 400lb.
Not to be outdone, Chris landed a Tarpon of 209lb.
