A GARDEN centre near York will host its fourth bikers’ charity night next month in a bid to raise money for a mental health charity.
Dean’s Garden Centre, based at Stockton-on-the-Forest, will hold the event on June 22, starting at 7pm.
Spokeswoman Janet Poad said last year’s event was a great success, raising more than £1,500 for two hospices. She hoped this year’s evening would do as well, with the chosen charity this time being MIND.
She said: “As last year, there will be an optional motorcycle ride from Dean’s Garden Centre in Seamer Road, Scarborough, starting at 6.30pm, to Dean’s at Stockton-on-the-Forest.
“The ride will again be led by Kilham Wednesday Night Bikers, who have helped us out over the past three years and are seasoned bikers, organising Easter egg runs and other events for the past 15 years.
“The ride will take in some of North Yorkshire’s best biking roads and everyone is welcome to join them whatever you ride, arriving at Stockton-on-the-Forest at about 8pm.”
Craven’s Collection, a museum of more than 250 vintage and classic machines just across the road from Deans, will be open and there will also be a concourse of classic and modern bikes in Dean’s car park.
