YORK is being recognised (The Press, May 6). Low and High Petergate have been short listed in the Google street view awards to honour Britain’s best-loved streets.
Also, a recent poll conducted by travel publisher Rough Guides into Britain’s favourite small towns and cities ranked York as the best city in Britain.
York is truly a beautiful historic city with stunning architecture and visitor attractions, bars, clubs, shops, restaurants and race course; and York’s people, who are one of the reasons why people love visiting the city.
I am sure the people of York will be greatly proud that their city is the tops. I am proud to be a Yorkie and love York and its people.
Terry Smith, Classic Cutz, Fourth Avenue, York.
