EAST Yorkshire children will have the chance to fly a kite, write their own soap opera or take to the dance floor in a series of workshops during the summer half-term.
The “P.arts” programme, run by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s arts development service, will hold sessions from Tuesday, May 31, to Friday, June 3, in Beverley, Bridlington, Driffield, Hessle, Hornsea and Pocklington.
All sessions run from 10.30am to 3pm and each concentrates on a different subject for children aged eight or over.
Among the craft sessions on offer are instruction on how to make pottery, a session on writing a soap opera, Strictly Latin and ballroom dancing, and a chance to make Krazy Kool Kites.
