I WOULD like to share with readers of The Press a letter I received from Martyn Callaghan, chief executive of St Leonard’s Hospice, regarding my late wife’s donation.
He wrote: “I wanted to write to you personally to thank you so much for the generous donations received by St Leonard’s of £935.30 in Doreen’s memory.
“I know I don’t have to tell you how much we value every donation and you have seen for yourself how we use it directly to care for patients. Doreen was a stickler for high-quality patient care and standards and I hope we reached those levels when we cared for her.
“I appreciate it’s a tough time for you and the family at present but remember we are always here.
“Thank you once again for your generosity and for supporting St Leonard’s.”
