THE wife of murder victim Mark Webb has appeared before York Crown Court charged with obstructing the investigation into his death.
Susan Webb, 30, of Middleton Road, Acomb, is alleged to have attempted to pervert the course of justice by interfering with a crime scene and misleading police officers on March 4.
Brian Cox, 29, of no fixed address, has been charged with Mr Webb’s murder.
Both will appear before Leeds Crown Court on June 6 for plea and case management hearings. Neither has entered a plea.
Webb was released on bail on condition she does not contact certain witnesses. Cox has been remanded in custody.
Father-of-five Mr Webb, 40, of Cornlands Road, Acomb, died on March 4 after he was found with a throat injury in Middleton Road.
