I WANTED to let everyone know about the fantastic people at The Hub Cycling Centre, which opened in January, transforming a crumbling former Victorian electricity sub-station into a super cycling sensation.

Mark Gell and his team are all really friendly and helpful and they offer a range of services including bike services, maintenance and repairs, puncture repairs and general all-round good advice.

I am particularly grateful to Mark as he suggested that I have my bike checked over as he thought it was making a noise that it shouldn’t be making. It turned out that my pedals were not secured properly and could have come off at any time which undoubtedly would have caused me to fall off the bike. Ouch!

The company that I work for has bought some cycle parking spaces and I have now been cycling to York from Huntington daily and parking at the Hub. I would recommend the Hub to anyone who already cycles or who is thinking of taking up cycling. And thanks to Mark and the team I am now cycling safely.
