IT WAS really good to see Yorkshire Cricketer Joe Sayers return to the game at Durham on April 29 after many months of post-viral fatigue.

Many readers of The Press who have experienced ME would, like myself, have felt particularly concerned when they read about his illness as the symptoms are so familiar to them – often ME starts with post viral fatigue.

We have just had ME Awareness Week, and there are many people who have struggled with this condition for many years. There are ways forward for people now, such as the lightning process. We await the time when this dreadful debilitating condition becomes a thing of the past.
