TOCKWITH Beer Festival’s organisers have managed to beat inflation and kept their ticket prices at the same price of £5 for Saturday’s event.
That is despite the fact the festival has expanded this year into the village’s sports field.
The event raised £6,000 for Tockwith School’s parents, teachers and friends association last year, and will raise money again for improved ICT equipment for the school this year.
The festival will offer more than 35 real ales, as well as live bands, pie and peas, a barbecue and children’s workshops, hosted by the Song Box and the Funky Junk Trio, from noon to 10pm.
Adrian Ray, part-time organiser, said: “We’ve created much more of a festival atmosphere this year. We’ve got a whole field of tents and loads going on.”
