Pupils at Acomb Primary School have taken part in an event to raise money for a new school playground.
The latest fundraising venture, called “change around the playground”, encouraged pupils to bring in loose change and lay the coins on the ground, hoping to create a long trail of money. All of the change collected went towards the fund, raising £225.52.
The school aims to raise £8,000 by Christmas , with a summer fair in June and a Christmas fair in December.
