A NEW exhibition of works by Cottingham-based artists Barry and Jill Carter will go on display at Beverley Art Gallery this summer.
Barry is inspired by coastal locations, especially Bridlington, Flamborough and Staithes, while Jill favours East Yorkshire pubs and music venues where jazz musicians perform, as well as the “unremarkable” corners of the her own Edwardian house.
The exhibition, called Being There, brings together their recent works. It opens on May 28, when there will be an open afternoon from 12.30pm to 2pm where visitors can meet the artists and gallery staff, and runs until July 16.
