Ladies’ club captain Hester Cox was Thirsk and Sowerby’s sole representative in the prestigious and testing Three Peaks Race featuring 766 runners.
Of the 677 who finished it, Cox achieved her target of beating four hours, 40 minutes and 45 seconds to come home 366th overall and 12th in her age category.
She later competed in the Fairfield Horsehoe Fell Race, over a nine-mile course with a 3,000 feet ascent.
She finished 160th out of 296 runners in a time of 1.57:20, just eight minutes behind the winning lady to finish eighth lady overall.
Club members Steve Middleton and Phil Utley competed in the Park Run five-kilometre event at Middlesbrough’s Albert Park.
Middleton was fourth in 17:47 and Utley fifth in 18:15.
The next club championship event is the Harrogate League fixture at Harrogate on Thursday, May 26. Meet at the club at 6pm.
