A CHILDREN’S charity welcomed broadcaster and writer Jenni Murray to its annual fundraising lunch in York.
The NSPCC staged the Hats On For Children event at the Voltigeur Suite at York Racecourse this week, which offered guests the chance to do some luxury shopping and take part in a raffle to win a diamond donated by jewellers Phillip Stoner.
The lunch raised more than £5,000 and Jenni said: “It’s events like this which mean the charity is able to continue providing much-needed support for so many children and young people.”
