THIS fly fisherman had a longer walk than usual to the water’s edge at Fewston Reservoir, near Harrogate.
The reservoir has seen a drop in water levels due to the dry weather experienced by the UK.
However, although levels at Fewston may be noticeably low, Yorkshire Water said it is not concerned about the region as a whole.
A spokesman said: “We would like to reassure customers that water resources in the region are normal for this time of year, with reservoirs across the region being 75 per cent full. However, we have had a very dry few weeks.
“In Yorkshire, we don’t just rely on reservoir stocks. We take water from a number of sources including groundwater and rivers - unlike some other parts of the UK. We also balance resources carefully using a unique grid system which enables us to move water around to where it’s needed in the region.”
