The Poole Bridge complex has been in superb form over the past week with bumper bags being taken from all five lakes.
Anglers on the carp lake have been hauling fish to double figures on a variety of methods, with pole and pellet or paste fished in the margins and surface baits both scoring highly.
Horseshoe has seen some great mixed bags with the usual array of carp being augmented by tench to over 6lb, plus lots of quality silver fish. On the Q-Lake, session anglers have reported catches of more than ten-fish on a regular basis with most fish in the mid to upper doubles.
Boilies fished over a bed of particles seems to be the favoured approach. It certainly worked for The Press angling correspondent Darren Starkey on a recent visit when this gorgeous common carp of 17lb topped a great day.
The fish fell to a Dynamite Baits Banana Nut Crunch boilie fished with a snowman rig over a bed of partimix.
