THE chairman of York Hospital Trust, Alan Rose, and its chief nurse, Libby McManus were among the first to try out a climbing wall installed in the hospital grounds.
The wall is at the site in Wigginton Road to promote the 16-week Global Corporate Challenge (GCC), an initiative to persuade people to get more exercise over the summer.
Peta Hayward, the hospital’s director of human resources, said: “Taking part in the GCC is a great way of encouraging teamwork and boosting morale.
“The climbing wall is a really fun way for staff to start becoming more active and we hope as many as possible will have a go.”
