YORK golfers will have the chance to be in the presence of the Solheim Cup – the biggest team prize in world women’s golf.
The cup for the biennial competition between Europe and America, the women’s equivalent of the Ryder Cup, will be on show at Fulford Golf Club on June 2 as part of a tour around the country ahead of this year’s clash at Killen castle in September.
Also present at the Fulford GC event will be former Solheim Cup captain Alison Nicholas, one of Britain’s most successful women golfers. She played in no fewer than six Solheim Cup matches.
To have a chance of having a prized photograph alongside the Solheim Cup golf fans need first to register with news@womensenglishgolf.org as places are limited.
