WE HAD a Disability Living Allowance (DLA) protest in London recently. This was because the Government is proposing to stop DLA before 2015, and replace it with something else.
People will be able to claim, but in a different format. Some will still receive it, others will not.
The Government believes some people who receive DLA are fit to work, and that the new assessment will show who is and is not able to work.
There seem to be flaws in the new assessment procedures. There are people who get DLA who are fit to work, and are others who are not.
This coalition Government is going to reduce the bill on DLA payments, whether people like it or not.
