TICKETS are available for a charity event featuring a published author next month.
Simon Brett, who writes crime novels featuring Charles Paris, Mrs Pargeter and Fethering, will appear at Sledmere House, in Driffield, in support of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
Guests at the afternoon event can have lunch in the restaurant at Sledmere House, or a picnic in the grounds, with tea and a book signing following the performance.
Tickets for the event, from 12.30pm on Saturday, June 4, cost £30, and a two-course lunch can be pre-ordered for £11 per head. To book a place, phone Stephen Wood on 0113 262 1872.
