FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at Drax Power Station.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said two appliances were called to the power plant at about 11.30pm on Friday to assist power station staff in tackling a spontaneous combustion at a silo, a structure for storing grain, at the site.
Firefighters left the fire in the charge of station staff when they were satisfied it was sufficiently under control.
