A Selby sheepdog raised a high price at a regional auction.
Dewi Kate, bred by John Bell, of Parks Farm Howden, Selby, raised 4,200 guineas (£4,410), at the Skipton Auction Mart sale of working sheepdogs on Friday.
John’s dogs have raised record prices at the auction for the last 15 years, and two-year-old Dewi Kate raised the second-highest price at the event.
He also sold 13-month-old dogs Lad for 2,700 guineas (£2,835) and Cordon Craig for 2,900 guineas (£3,045).
Top price at the sale went to two-year-old Jess, from Irish handler John Maginn, from County Down, who sold for 4,600 guineas (£4,830).
