Textiles students have given up their Saturday mornings to produce a colourful banner for a project run by the Minster.
The theme of Looking Back, Looking Up And Looking Forward was given to 20 Church of England schools across the region and 17 pupils from Manor CE School took up the challenge.
Year 9 and 10 students spent 14 hours making the banner as part of the Minster’s Banner Project.
It will be displayed in the Minster for a special service on June 16 and the pupils have been invited to a private viewing of all the banners entered into the project.
Louise Hill, a design technology teacher at the school, said: “I am absolutely amazed at the thought, skill and care put in to make such a fantastic banner that the school will be very proud to have at the Minster event.”
