Euan Findlay had a day to remember as North Yorkshire Broncos ARLC U14s’ first-ever game proved a great one – a 60-12 victory away to another new team Jarrow Vikings.
The Northallerton-based side began with a bang as Findlay opened the scoring in the first minute, and he went on to bag six more tries, including a length-of-the-field effort.
Good open rugby also brought tries for second-row Luke Thompson (2), prop Joe Grieff and Tom Cornforth, with Jedd Bainbridge adding eight goals.
The Broncos U14s next match is on June 4 against another expansion club, Gateshead Storm. They are still recruiting players. Anyone interested can phone Joy Carter on 07982 719495.
