CAPTAIN Harry Clapham’s hat-trick fired Wigginton Primary School to a 6-1 win in the York City in the Community CPP Challenge Cup final.
Clapham was joined by Benjamin Kilner, Joe Kilvington and Owen Marshall on the scoresheet in the conquest of Norton Community Primary School.
The final was held at Bootham Crescent before York City’s last home game of the season against Cambridge United. City defender Daniel Parslow made the presentations.
Almost 30 schools took part in the competition open to teams from York, Selby and Ryedale areas and now in its fourth year.
The winners, many of whom play for Wigginton Grasshop-pers, also received new equipment for their school team courtesy of CPP, medals and City match tickets.
CPP’s Stephen Kennedy said: “We are pleased to have supported the CPP Challenge Cup again this year.”
