YOUNGSTERS at a York nursery took a step back in time to learn about the world of the Vikings.
Children and staff at Happy Jays Nursery, Clifton Moor, put on period costumes as part of a project focusing on the Vikings and their history in York.
Teacher Naomi Jones said: “It was something a bit different for the children. They have been learning about what the Vikings did in York and have also been doing some Viking writing, as well as making mosaics.”
