MY FRIEND and I enjoyed a bird-watching day at Top Hill Low, near Driffield, expecting to see the osprey that has been around all this week.
Unfortunately, we missed the sightings even though we saw photographic evidence of the sighting at noon.
However, we did see and have reported the fact that a rare Red Footed Falcon (female), a very rare visitor, was spotted and which we hope will be seen by many more visitors.
A similar visitor, an Amur Falcon, was living on the reserve in October, 2008 and drew many visitors to the area and much press coverage.
