AN East Yorkshire allotment site has been raided by thieves – the second to be targeted in a week.
About ten sheds were broken into overnight on Thursday at the site near the A1079, at Market Weighton.
Tools and equipment stolen were stolen in the raid.
Sgt Pete Rogers, of Pocklington and Wolds Weighton safer neighbourhood policing team, said: “At this stage, the inquiry is under way and specific details of what has been stolen are still being ascertained.”
The break-in comes days after a separate East Yorkshire allotment site was raided.
Plot holders arrived at the site on The Mile, in Pocklington, on Saturday, May 21, to discover 20 sheds had been broken into, badly damaged, and equipment stolen.
Anyone with any information about either theft is asked to phone Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222.
Crimestoppers can be phoned anonymously on 0800 555 111.
