RESIDENTS in Selby can now keep up to date with the progress of the New War Memorial Hospital online.
The latest developments at the site will be available online for all to see, along with photographs and a question and answer section.
Council leader Mark Crane said: “It won’t be long before the first patients are being treated in the new hospital and new council office is up and running.
“The new website will be a great way for people to keep up-to-date on the latest developments of the scheme.”
Next week, new furniture and beds will be brought into the hospital, and a full clinical clean will take place the following week, before staff and patients are moved across to their new accommodation from June 20.
The hospital will also host the services of the Raincliffe Street clinic, part of the Selby Community Project, which will also include a new civic centre.
New inclusions on the site include an aerial photo of the project and pictures of the original metal memorial archway in the hospital’s courtyard.
Visitors can also join an online mailing list to have the latest developments sent to their email.
Earlier this year, a public vote decided to retain the War Memorial aspect of the hospital’s name, after plans to call it the Selby Community Hospital.
