THANK you to our Macmillan volunteers for 100 years of support.
As we celebrate our centenary year at Macmillan Cancer Support, we recognise that many of our successes couldn’t have been achieved without our volunteers.
As this is Volunteers’ Week, now is the ideal opportunity to highlight the thousands of people who give their time, enthusiasm and energy.
I want to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our volunteers in York who organise events, hold collecting tins, help out with administration, give talks and use their skills and imagination in so many ways. It is only because of these volunteers we can support people who need us.
One in three of us will be diagnosed with cancer during our lifetimes, which means all of us will be affected by the illness in some way.
Macmillan Cancer Support is here for everyone who needs our support. We are also there for their family and loved ones.
New volunteers are always welcome. If you would like to find out how you can be involved, please phone me on 01904 756 403 or email CStern@macmillan.org.uk or visit macmillan.org.uk/volunteer
