North Yorkshire’s county pool team thrashed East Yorkshire in the fourth round of the EPA’s Inter-Counties Championship.
The men’s ‘A’ team got off to a flier winning the first set of 11 frames 7-4.
They went one better in the next set winning 8-3 and then 9-2 in the third before wrapping up the match with a 7-4 win for an overall 31-13 tally.
The top performers were Danny Tyler and Paul Horner, who both won all their four frames.
The men’s ‘B’ team were not to be outdone by their ‘A’ team counterparts and triumphed in their outing 33-11 with impressive performances from Jon Croxford, Martin Witcombe, Mark Falshaw and captain Darren Smith.
All posted a flawless four out of four record.
To seal the thrashing the North Yorkshire ladies won 26-18, with vice-captain Kate Wringe being the only one to win four out of four, while Kirsty Taylor won two out of two.
The East Yorkshire ladies won the first set 6-5, but an 8-3 win for North Yorkshire led to a 7-4 third set win and the fourth 6-5.
