A WOMAN was pelted with a piece of fruit by a passenger in a car.
Police in East Yorkshire are now appealing for information after the incident on Flamborough Road, near Swanland Avenue, Bridlington, at about 8pm on Wednesday, May 25.
The woman was walking along the road when a silver-coloured Vauxhall Corsa pulled into a parking spot opposite her and its passenger threw a piece of soft fruit at the 54-year-old woman, causing reddening to the side of her face.
As the car pulled away, a possible witness to the incident, a white man aged in his 20s, spoke to the woman.
Police would like to speak to that man and anyone else with information.
Humberside Police can be contacted on 0845 60 60 222 quoting 698 of 25/05/11.
